12litre faber, aladin airz nitrox computer, transmitterhello, there is a diver on the boat with me how has just bought twin7s and so is considering selling some of his old kit.
the kit isnt old, less than 2 years.
He is considering £75 for a 12litre lightweight faber, din with A clamp insert. tremendously good condition apparently.
As he is on independent twins now his air intedrated airz nitrox is a little not useful.
he paid lots for it and likes it so is actualy just considering selling only the transmitter.
basically he would want a fairly high price so if some one is just about to buy a new one his, no scratches, 40 dives, less than 2 years old, 97% batt may be a good option
let me know if you are keen.
cheers

When is the cylinder due to be tested?
Sounds like you've formed an Air Z appreciation society up there.

tank was brand new two years ago. its steel and i think it is exactly the same as the yellow ones with the sturdy handles that the club have, with an aqualung sticker.
i'm not sure but is the initial test not in 5 yeasr so it still has three left?
it seems the price may be negotiable, knock a couple of quid off the above price if you collect it, from oban, it seems, possibly.
the whole one transmitter one tank thing seems to be a little annoying right enough.

Could he not keep the transmitter and use it for one tank at least? Maybe move it to the more fullerer tank between dives. Seems a waste of a nice gadget,

Cylinder should be due a visual inspection 2.5 years after the date of its stamp which will be soon I guess. By the time you've paid for the test & getting to Oban & back it's little cheaper than a new one from Go-Dive.
A shame that the Air Z can't integrate with 2 transmitters (I presume). Little point in having one transmitter on one tank & not on the other as he will be switching his regs regularly during each dive as all good indie twin-set divers do.

The transmitter is on the tank rather than the regs?

Yup.
Have you ever seen an air integrated computer on someone's console? It does all the same stuff and keeps an eye on your air consumption too. This fancy dooda is a cooler version of that. It's just a wee nubbin that screws into a first stage and sends the data by magic to a wrist mounted computer.
There is some eveidence to suggest that they're messing up whale and dolphin communication and giving starfish brain tumors though

and so when shug says yup he means no.
as his explanation goes, the transmitter is on the first stage of the reg. If the twins were not independent and the manifold was open the transmitter would give readouts for both tanks, though in this case they are acting as one.
the whole confuses wildlife thing is unproven, i have personally heard the radio signal passing through my brain on numerous occasions though, so it may well confuse me, as if i needed to be more confused.

"english" is a proper noun and thus should be spelt "English"

If we're getting picky, english and English are not spelled any differently
