This was definetly my favourite scottish dive so far, fantastic rock formations, and sea critters. Well worth the long drive. When can we go AGAIN? Lets find the mysterious resident angler fish.

Shouldn't have been that long a drive compared to half theLoch Fynne sitres, was it?
The octofish looks cool. The blog says it was just sitting there. Did you poke it about a bit to get some ink?

feels like a long drive and the traffic wasnt perfect.
i just make comparisons with conger.wouldnt bother with loch fyne in the evening.
i gave the 7 legged septopus a shove but it sulcked into the corner, think it may have been upset at loosing a limb.
a good dive right enough, shame charles couldnt find his way out of a cardboard box and i'm just too lazy to bother, (dont like to fail).

It was a late night by the time I got home (after midnight).
Frustrating thing is that we passed my house at about 10:30pm but i had to go on to Stirling to take baby Joe back to the cage. Next time I'll make him hitch hike!
I still fully intend to do it again. If gus isn't man enough then I'll find someone else to accompany me.

oft.
i'm no man, but a boy.
and i'm not boy enough to go to western loch fyne on a night dive. i never suggested that i would discount such an east coast drive again.

Here's a quote from chris, a regular StAbbs diver who posts on congeralley:
"Never knew the issue about diving banned at night, they usually put a barrier across the harbour wall and state that there is no cover, but not banned??"
Was that wee specky baldy guy picking on us?
Check out this very useful map below that chris supplied:
The gully with the angler fish that was mentioned must be between Scott's Rock & Broad Craig I reckon: not running through the middle of Broad Craig as suggested!

i thought he suggested that we turn left at the break water.

indeed it was fun,
if your not bothering to come back up for a visit then your wee french island isnt safe from a visit sometime in the future.
i feel trying to get sealife to play should be acceptable, gentle persuasion permitted.
met a crawfish during the training trip and it happily played me a tune and played some chase games.

I think he said to head to the right from the entry point with Broad Craig (aka Greg ) on your left. Then when you reach a bit with an overhang jutting out from the left, turn back & retrace your finstrokes, ascending slightly. The gully would then come into view. This description is consistent with the gap between BC & Scotty's Rock.
