Child Protection WorkshopHey all, this only really affects the Voulnerable Person/ Child Protection Officer, Branch Instructions, Trainee BI's and RI's.Scotsac HQ are hoasting a Child Protection Workshop on Sunday 19th April, from 09.30 – 12.30 It is recognised that people who work with children and juniors in sport, on a regular basis, may provide an important link in identifying a child or young person who has been, or is, at risk of being harmed. The workshop provides an opportunity for participants to: • identify and recognise good coaching practice and review their own coaching practice • identify their values and feelings in relation to child abuse and how they might impact on their responses • be able to recognise signs and indicators of abuse • respond appropriately to children who disclose abuse take appropriate action if concerns are raised that suggest a child is being abused. To book a place please register details with HQ. The workshop is provided free of charge to participants. Workshops are also run by Local Authorities and the calendar for 2009can be accessed at www.children1st.org.uk ; a copy is also available at HQ. |

yeh me too....do we a cerificate or anything to show that we've done it? not that i wana put it on my wall or anything, would be handy for the cv tho maybe. |
