Dorset

Had a great dive on Tuesday night (my birthday Smile) from a beautiful sandy beach in Dorset.

Only 6m max depth but viz of 10m+

The reef was covered in dogfish... including some groups of up to 4 together in nooks & crannies.

First one we spotted had a hook in its mouth attached to a snagged mass of fishing line which I cut with my trusty line cutter (1st time I've ever used it Surprised).

Also spotted a nice ray (not sure of species... maybe a Sandy Ray?)

and nice flattie,

plus lots of pouting.

Many nice Devonshire (should that not read Dorset?!) cup corals and loads of hermits.

Pint in the local divers' pub on Portland (the breakwater Inn) followed by a tasty curry. Meant that I only had 2 beers on my birthday but well worth it.

Thanks to my buddy Nick for his hospitality.

Looks kind of like you dived with Gus. Think it's the big eyes. Anyone else see it?
