Well typically most people just wear pool fins, mainly because that is what they have on the boat and they do just fine! However, we (Graham and I) wear our open water fins 1) to keep our wee feet warm as we can be in the water a long time 2) they make us quicker to reach people from a safety (or laziness) point of view.
It's really up to you, if you have open water and want to wear them that is fine, but remember that they weight a lot more and take up a lot more space in your luggage!

Not unless you have particularly cold hands! What I like about the warm water diving is that you don't have to wear all that crap!!! hehe, I wouldn't bother with them no.
