Well on a fine day like today, what else is there to do other than get wet in the sea.......................
After getting stopped by the police for a friendly check, lovely people we arrived at St Kath's only to find it horribly busy. So we took the option to try something new and different which i had hoped for. Treasure Hunting!!!!!!!!!!!
Getting to the site was easy, a joyous walk through the sea to the castle of something or other from which we entered the water. After a fair while we got some depth and begin exploring. The treasure hunting resulted in a golf ball, a lump of coal, a few scallops and a lot of wood. A very nice easy dive to do after none for two months. The swim back provided our weekly exercise quota.
For our second dive we set off from another new point, a very nice little slipway and collected a enough scallops for a taster. Few nice critters, nudi, edible etc. Easy Easy Easy.
Scallops tasted good, as i cooked them hugh fearny whats his bob turned up on the tele cooking them to. He had the white bit and the orange bit, news to me!!! His looked great with black pudding and minty mushy peas. Yum I'll try that.
Nice days diving, no river yet, add any extra's chaps

indeed a lovely days diving though plenty swimming as joe says.
so thats one dive done at castle lachlan, didnt find the cannons or the real treasure but there is lots more sea to search. did find a lovely big encrusted anchor though.
2nd dive site was ok but prob not worth going back to, just a seabed really.
cheers
Sam
Twas indeed a lovely day, apart from my ripped cuff seal (expertly fixed with a gimp strap and alot of black witch!) and my flooded torch. I think it might be kit servicing time!!
Cool underwater tree stump too.
We'll find the cannon next time
