Saturday 3rd March 2007: St Catherine's North ReefEnjoyable trip to St Cath's Reef.Max's first dive: woohoo!! He did really well by all accounts. We'll have to nick his passport so that he can't desert the club in couple of months' time! 
Typical Scottish weather: sunshine & (heavy) showers. Some people got wet during their dives, some also got wet in the Inverbeg afterwards (thanks to shug being so kind)

Glad you enjoyed it: a good day of Scottish diving methinks.
It was great to have such a good turn out. Thanks to everyone for coming along at such an early hour.

Yes, it was a good day by any standard. I had a bit of a problem staying down on the first dive (not enough weight) but we fixed that problem the second time out. Even so, it was absolutely amazing and Dot and I saw some intersting things including several nudibranchs. I think it's safe to say that I'm hooked.
I suppose you could try stealing my passport but there's no way I'm going to tell you that it's hidden in the back of my sock drawer. A friend invited me on a dive trip to the California coast this summer so I have to go back for that anyway. Thanks for the pics, by the way. I promised the aforementioned friend that I would send her pictures of my first dive and I only ended up with one of Loch Fyne. See you all tonight, Max |

Ah St Cath's one of my favourite sites alawys stuff to see!!! as i can see u have mastered the nudi finding!!! someone has to take over!!! keep em coming!!! Watch out the frog man B likes the nudies a bit too much!!!! must be a french thing???? could be an interesting study for a PHD!!! Anyway keep the diving up!!! miss you all!!! |

By the way, I was trying to figure out what Charlie's picture of the conger eel reminded me of. I just figured it out, it looks a bit like my dog. She looks at me like that a lot. Same big eyes and long nose as well. Ah, whippets. A fun breed.
