sunday 4th May

Hi all, Anyone interested in a wee dive on sunday 4th May?

Sam

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.....
joe

perhaps, a bit of sea water might kill anything lurking in my drysuit

I'm up for it.  Any idea where ?? (just in case the fuel shortage limits out travel )
weeclare86

can i come too? any instructors free to take me for my rescue? its my only skill left to do Smile also have car if needed.
Keith C

I can take up to 5 people (including me) with space enough for tanks and the rest of the gear in my jeep or up 7 people if we have a couple of small people who can sit on the "kiddy" seats at the back ( I can put a roof box on for suits and lightweight stuff and load the tanks in the small space at the back but it would very tight to get 14 tanks for two dives so we would perhaps have to draw straws for a single or double dive)
It really depends on how much the strike at Grangemouth hits fuel availablility as I'd need to have enough to get there and back (obviously !!) so if we are looking at a dive site closer rather than further it would be better.
Sam

I'm in and so's Helen, woooooo.

Lets get your rescue done Clare!

A mate of mine has told me that he can lend me his trailer for the day if we want to use it for the tanks and free up space for more bodies.  How many people are wanting to go ?  Sam, Helen, Claire, Erika, me....anyone else ??
joe

Argh its the final fling on saturday
bperry1

Count me in, where we heading....old piers, could then dive the other pier site further up as well (is it really still classified as MOD?). B

No, not this time for me! Wouldn't be serious after the Final Fling.

The fuel shortage is a storm in a teacup there are no problems getting fuel. You just might have to pay a bit more for it right now that's all.

As for transportation i think maybe mr sam's van for tanks would be good if he is willing to drive and a car or 2 for people depending on how many we have. This can be confirmed at the meeting tomorrow.

Has anyone look at the weather forecast, i fancy an east coast trip but not sure about conditions. St. Abbs maybe???

Ok so so far we have. There may have been someone else but i can't remember just now.
Sam and Helen are going to meet us at the dive site as they are going to take their camper van out for the weekend. so that leaves 5 of us to transport plus kit. Helen and Sam will be taking their own so maybe take 2 cars for comfort + kit. I was thinking either St. Catherines or Finnart Pier.

erica you are forgetting me again. that makes 6 from the cage

I'm still hoping to take the jeep which will take 5 comfortably and a fair bit of kit.  The only issue that I have is that I had a rear type blow out on the Merc on the way home from the AGM last night and originally I've been told that they can't replace it until Tuesday due to the size which means that I can't leave my missus with my car (which is a no-no !!) but I'm trying to get one couriered up from England overnight (a tyre not a wife !) so I should still be okay.
By the way, for those of you that don't know, adrenalin is brown in colour !!!!

Sorry i forgot to add gus earlier. Which make us a happy group of 8.

Jesus, keith hope your ok. Getting a blow out is a nasty thing, especially when going quite fast which i'm guessing your were as i do on the way up through braco. I don't know some people and their posh cars! You just can't get the parts for them! Glad i'm not paying the bill for your new tyre i'd hate to think of the cost of one for a merc!

A good trip had by all. Clare got Qualified, woop woop well done!!! Dot and I did some master diver training loving the 30m+ dives. Keith, Helen and gus had fun too with a search and rescue second dive to locate Clare's weight belt. well done them for finding it.
