Try divesHiya, just wondering if Try Dives are going ahead on Friday or not? If so can someone let me know please. I'm quite happy to take some people in for a bit. Also if it is going ahead could someone have a word with the swimming pool people to see if people can come in for free just this once for their Try Dive.

You're optimistic. Aren't the pool people still the bureaucrats we know and love? As I recall the SU could give Vogons a run for their money.
Incidentally, for any new divers who might be hanging around the forums, try-dives are wonderful, though they can (as in my case) lead to life-long compressed air dependency.

It has to be worth their while allowing a try-dive as they potentially get a whole load of additional revenue from all the people who get hooked and then want to use their pool.
If you need me to help on Friday as well just let me know

its ok,
unless things have changed dramatically since last year then the first session at least is free, which is handy for the likes of our club as all the try dives can be commitment free with regards to new members and joining the club.

I'm afraid try dives are not happening this friday. There has been some confusion over pool times and we're not able to get tanks filled.
