Turriff, River Deveron, Bottom of the garden.Hows this for a dive site guys.
Above is the entrance, slightly less sunny in reality and more vegetation.
You can expect to see, well, not much unless you are about 20cm from what you expect to see and you may be able to make out some shapes. There is at least one freshwater eel and lots of wee snails that somehow manage to stick onto your equipment and you may end up bringing a lot of life out of the water with you.
You might also notice a lack of natural light from about 0.2m and from then on a torch is a must as day is night down there apparently. Indeed if you hold your torch far away from you you can see no light at all. If you should look up during the dive you wonder why you are diving in water that looks like a well brewed cup of tea.
Perhaps the best idea is to clip your reel onto a nearby tree and take it from there so as eddy currents do not confuse you.
Maybe you might want to upload more photos to this forum but the thing is being sh1t again.
Best of all, say you dived for about 24min and had a maximum depth of 5.5m you could log this dive.
Peace out..

Now... aquarium diving: that really would be fun. I'd dive in our aquarium at home given half a chance, but it's only 2 feet long
Yeah, Gus turning up at your work must have been a bit surreal
Keep us updated on how you're getting on.
