Um good point well made Lindsay. So actually all we need to do to escape said gaint octopus is to snog Jack Sparrow and chain him to a convenient mast thus distracting its attention away from us. No poetry or morphing powers required. Seems like a good plan to me!
I would bide my time with the octopus and eventually our differences would be settled.
